December 4, 2014Fellow Style Mavens!
OK, so let’s admit that shopping for the guys in our lives is a hard task. This year, let’s look beyond the typical ideas and explore a list of gifts that are just a cut above those personalized socks you got him last year.
Thanks to the wonderful brands at The Fashion Mall at Keystone, we are blessed with a huge selection of items to choose from. Here, I have narrowed it down to 5 stores just for you. After all, who really has time to shop every single store in the mall? So, here you’ll find my personally curated selection from the C Wonder Store (yes, they have stuff for guys), Teavana, the Art of Shaving, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Day Furs.
From Saks Fifth Avenue (Above): Why not pamper him with a new fragrance? Or give him a reason to enjoy longer luxurious showers? Or even update his winter wardrobe?
From The Art of Shaving (Above): Definitely the ultimate pampering session, but also a thoughtful gift for the guy just starting out shaving. Plus they also have some great travel essentials.
Additionally, Art of Shaving at the Fashion Mall at Keystone offers in-store barber services for men who are interested in a true straight razor shave. Gift cards are also encouraged!
From Teavana (Above): What about some cozy gifts for the holidays, such as the ultimate tea set or a trendy travel mug?
From C Wonder (Above): Something fun for a fun-loving guy. If your man has a touch of quirky humor, then these ideas are perfect for him.
From Day Furs (Above): The amazing “Hook and Albert” Weekender Garment bag. It’s a splurge gift, but if your guy is a frequent traveler then this bag is the perfect gift. Watch the video here and you’ll know if this is a must have right away!
Hopefully with these ideas, you will find that choosing the perfect gift for the men in your life is easier this year. And knowing that you can find all of this at The Fashion Mall at Keystone, you can have it all accomplished in one stop!
Happy Shopping friends!
Bisous bisous,

December 4, 2014Heading into the snowy season can be scary when you don’t have the right fashion game plan. It’s tempting…
December 3, 2014Have you been outside recently? You need a scarf. Like, really bad.
Scarves are great because they’re basically a publicly acceptable way to wear a blanket around your neck. Just take a look at this wondrous thing Lenny Kravitz did two years ago. But if you aren’t as bold as Mr. Kravitz, then here are a few other options you might want to consider to protect that precious neck of yours this winter.
This Double Cable-Knit Eternity Scarf from Urban Outfitters is a chunky and perfect way to keep warm. It comes in black, red, and grey… not to mention that it can double as a pillow for catnaps at your desk.
If eternity/infinity scarves aren’t your thing, what is wrong with you? But whatever, you can still get this Marled Chunky Oblong Scarf from Urban Outfitters. Still chunky, perfect, and warm. Still able to use as a pillow. Just, you know… less infinite.
In you’re in the market for something more seasonally appropriate and classic, I’m in love with this burgundy plaid Mosaic Wool Scarf from J.Crew. Festive, retro, and casual, all in one look.
Seeking a neck so warm Dante’s Inferno would be jealous? This Bickley + Mitchell Scarf from Urban Outfitters has a cozy fleece lining that provides the ultimate winter protection.
The Rail department at Nordstrom also has a variety of pieces perfect for any guy looking to up his scarf game. One of my favorites is this Geometric Knit Scarf with the fringed tips finish.
December 3, 2014Heading into the snowy season can be scary when you don’t have the right fashion game plan. It’s tempting to throw on sweats and hibernate forever, but no trendsetter ever gave up that easily. Your winter wardrobe can instantly become season-ready with a few of the right staples. No need to purchase all new everything; these cold weather basics are everything you need for endless fashion wins this winter.
1. Scarf
Keep your body warm underneath a big scarf. Naturally, basic, neutral colors are sensible and match everything, but don’t be afraid to use an infinity scarf as a pop of color! There’s no harm in bringing fun to the freeze, and the bigger the scarf, the bigger the smile. That’s what I say, anyway.
MICHAEL Michael Kors ‘Mowani’ Leopard Print Infinity Scarf SALE $51.00, Kate Spade NY Autumn Floral-Print Silk Scarf $228.00
2. Ankle Boots
If you don’t already own the perfect pair of booties, it’s time. Arguably the most timeless shoe that has lasted seasons without being drastically remade, it’s safe to say you can purchase a trusty pair and keep them for years. The perfect ankle boot will be comfortable yet easily worn no matter the occasion.
Vince Camuto ‘Kachina’ Open Toe Bootie $158.95 (Nordstrom Exclusive), Vince Camuto ‘Amori’ Pointy Toe Leather Bootie SALE $89.48 (Nordstrom)
3. Liquid Leggings/Pants
“Cool girl” is in full force this season, meaning faux leather is all you need to look seriously fab. If you want to step it up even more, try a faux fur vest. You can keep your hair and makeup simple – the trick is not to try, and how can you say no to that?
MICHAEL Michael Kors Faux Leather Leggings SALE $79.60 (Nordstrom), Joe’s Jeans Millie Mid-Rise Crocodile-Print Jeans $245.00 (Neiman Marcus)
4. Chunky Knits
Function and fashion work well together when you know what you’re looking for. As the temps drop, oversized sweaters and knitted hats will be your best friend this season as you endlessly seek warmth. If you want to spruce up your cozy knits, pick a pretty statement necklace.
AQUA Chunky Solid Slouchy Hat & Fringe Scarf SALE $31.68 – $44.88 (Bloomingdales), Vintage Fisherman Sweater Poncho $198.00 (Free People)
5. Chambray
Staying strong on the fashion front is the chambray phenomenon. Don’t get rid of your denim just yet – you can use your chambray for layering or mixed with army green pants. Add a pair of fun military boots and a scarf or necklace and you effortlessly evolve from day to night in a matter of seconds.
The Perfect Chambray Shirt $72.00 (Madewell), Lauren Ralph Lauren Carter Roll-Sleeve Cristo Chambray Woven Shirt $69.50 (Bloomingdales)
6. Anything leopard print
Whether you prefer your leopard prints bold or subtle, there are endless ways to sport this speckled style. A leopard print scarf is a simple way to add dimension to any outfit, or throw on a pair of printed flats to keep your style fresh. No matter the garment, leopard print is the answer this season.
Avra Hair Calf Pump $425.00 (Michael Kors), Tory Burch ‘Robinson’ Genuine Calf Hair & Leather Tote $595.00 (Nordstrom)
7. Plaid Skirt
Skirts become even more fun in the winter months! Invest in a few pairs of tights, socks, and all the fixings for fashion that’ll keep the freeze at bay. Plaid skirts are no longer just for school girls, in fact you’ll teach a lesson or two when you’re spotted in the cutest cold weather outfit around. Add a pretty peacoat and you’re ready to go!
ELOQUII Tartan Plaid Midi Skirt $88.00 (Nordstrom), Nanette Lepore I Spy Sleuth Plaid Leather-Waist Skirt SALE $166.00 (Neiman Marcus)
You can find these and many more must-haves for wall at the shops at Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza. And always remember to Live Life in Style!

December 2, 2014Thanksgiving has always been one of my most beloved holidays. You get to spend time with the ones you love while watching football, cook together in the kitchen, and chow down on turkey until you cannot think of eating anything again (except for the pu…
December 1, 2014One of my obsessions this season has been the fringe trend. It’s just so hot right now and I love it. It’s a trend that will keep you going past the holidays and into the spring. From fringe bags to shoes, you can literally find a bit of fringe on almost anything these days.
1) Fringe Skirts – I’m all about going bold, so a fringe skirt with the extra long fringe like this one by Tamara Mellon has got my name written all over it. You can dress it up or down and turn heads everywhere you go.
2) Fringe Bags – To add fringe to your daily look, a bag is the way to go. Yes it’s a bit boho, but it’s just perfect for adding that effortless factor to your look. This drawstring bag by Antik Batik has the perfect fringe overload for you.
3) Fringe Accessories – You can find fringe accents on shoes, earrings, and necklaces. For just a hint of fringe, go for one of these options. This necklace by Rebecca Minkoff is perfect for day or evening.
4) Fringe Dresses – Of course you can go for fringe without it being a flapper dress. I love this chic fringe-bottom dress by Stella McCartney, which is perfect for your holiday party.
5) Fringe Jackets – Talking about going for bold, a fringe jacket is a great staple that never goes out of style. This jacket by ThePerfext is just stunning and totally worth the investment.

December 1, 2014Fellow Style Mavens!
If you feel like just controlling the kids over the holidays is enough of a feat, let alone dressing them well for all your festive engagements, then you can join the majority of tired, stressed, and overworked parents out there. My tip (as a non-parent, mind you) for getting the kids ready for the myriad of events this season, whether it be for school, a school activity, Church or family gatherings is to prepare in advance! If you make it a “special occasion outfit” with a few smart interchangeable pieces, then you will be set for all your upcoming events. If you keep the clothes as “special occasion only,” then the kids will hopefully get excited to wear their Sunday best!
Recently I styled the outfits below for toddlers up to 4 years old for my Fashion Friday segment on WTHR. For those of you that missed it live, you can see the segment video here.
These outfits are so fun and festive, yet warmth and comfort play such an important role in clothing this time of year. I don’t like to wear itchy or bulky outfits, so I can’t expect that kids would want to either.
I love the Parisian inspired outfit above for a younger girl (around 18 months old) styled from Baby Gap. The cotton floral dress paired with warm red leggings, the navy blazer with bow detail, the ballet slippers, and the beret hat are all so feminine yet wearable. Your daughter would be happily playing all day in this sweet outfit.
This outfit above from Gap Kids is so festive and fashionable! The added touch of sparkle would have any little girl feeling just like a winterland princess and the red peacoat with toggle clasps is a stylish and classic way to keep her warm. We all know how chilly it can get in the big open school halls or even at Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve.
The big trend for boys right now is to look just like older siblings or even Dad. So the outfits I styled for the little guys in your family are almost like mini-me versions of bigger kid outfits. In the outfit above I’ve put together the festive patterned sweater with a shearling lined collar, paired with dark corduroy pants, brightened up by the chambray shirt half untucked for the “cool” factor, and finally the lace up boat shoes with leather accents.
The outfit above is styled from Gap Kids for a 4 or 5 year old boy. He will feel so trendy with the dark denim and quilted jacket with a baseball cap to hide any messy hair days. The grey pullover is soft yet warm enough to wear on its own and the pop of red buffalo check pattern brightens up the outfit with the shirt and matching lining on the hiking boots. You’ll notice that everything for the boys is cuff-able, so you can buy a size up and get a full season of wear, despite any holiday growing!
Take note of my shopping tips and be prepared. Get your outfits planned early this year! Head to the Fashion Mall at Keystone and check out GAP Kids and Baby GAP for the looks above.
Happy shopping friends!

November 28, 2014Hello Fashion Lovers,
It’s almost that time of the year where we hunt through our local Simon Malls to pick and choose our favorite gifts for the special people in our lives. I was preparing myself for Black Friday, making gift lists and wish lists, when I stumbled upon an entire Kate Spade Accessories collection (available at the Shops at Mission Viejo and Brea Mall locations) that is perfect for any special lady, best friend or sister! And if you can’t find anything for them… then at least you can find something for yourself. Especially when each item is covered in black and white polka dots or adorned with a classic bow, it’s hard not to fall in love with it all. The Kate Spade collection has everything from bluetooth speakers, bow magnets, adorable notebooks, pretty ornaments and, of course, beautiful hand bags. So make your list and check it twice. This Friday, Nordstrom will have a wonderful Black Friday sale and you’ll find plenty of these items heavily discounted! So get ready to swing by your local Simon Mall and stock up on these beauties!
Items Shown: Kate Spade Tacky Bow Ornament, ‘cedar street – mini maise’ crossbody bag, ‘le pavillion’ iPhone 5 charger case, ‘wedding belles – small grayden’ bracelet case, ‘jackpot jewels’ leather wrap bracelet, Kate Spade ‘it’s written in the stars’ mini notebook, dot thermal travel mug, bow magnets (set of 6), ‘metro’ scallop dial leather strap watch, 34mm, Kate Spade’all aboard – clock’ coin purse, Le Pavillion Bluetooth Speaker, Kate Spade ‘garden drive’ square jewelry box

Now that the temperatures are finally dropping (albeit periodically when those arctic fronts blow through down south), it’s always good to be prepared with a proper coat or jacket. These are four styles that you should have at least one of in your closet this winter.
1) Fur Coats – Whether you’re into real or faux fur, it’s always quite the statement piece. And you can find one in any price range. This Miu Miu Leopard Print Shearling Coat will keep you warm and stylish all season. A bold print coat is a go-to this year, or go for an un-natural color like pink or navy.
2) Puffer Coats – For the extreme cold, you can still stay stylish with a fitted puffer coat. No longer are they the marshmallow puffers, adding pounds to everyone. This Moncler puffer has a fur trim on the hood for that added touch of luxury.
3) Leather Jacket – My one must have tip for everyone is to have at least one good leather jacket. Sure it can be edgy and your go-to for casual days, but toss it over a dress in the evening to edge up any look. This J Brand Aiah jacket has all the details.
4) Wool Coat – This season continues with the oversize trend. So pick up an oversize cocoon, robe, cape, or blanket coat. While the oversize cocoon or robe may not be the most flattering, I find a cape or military style wool coat to flatter almost anyone. I’m just in love with this Vivienne Westwood Gaia Wool-Blend Cape.

November 26, 2014Coming home for the holidays is the best. That is, unless you’re already living at home (like this job-seeking college graduate). Then it’s just like any other day and now it just happens to be the holidays. Regardless, everyone’s mentality is a little bit like this.
But remember when you come home for the holidays, everyone comes home for the holidays. So yes, you’re going to see your high school boyfriend/girlfriend, or your former best friend you ditched sophomore year for a much better (and less basic) best friend. Which means you need to look your best at all times.
Fashion blogger Jenn Im has the “Home for the Holidays” look covered for the ladies below:
But what about the guys? I’ve gathered a few items that will have you looking like a 10 out of 10, no matter who you run into while you’re home this season.
So let’s be honest. No way you’re going to resist sweatpants the whole time you’re home, especially when your parents send you to the store when they’ve run out of food or – God forbid – wine. No worries. I’d recommend a pair of trendy sweatpants like these quilted and zipper-adorned joggers from H&M. So when you do run into the last person on earth you want to see, at least you’ll be cool and comfortable.
Like Jenn Im said, you need a great chunky knit this season. I say go with this Scotch & Soda Shawl Collar Sweater from Nordstrom. It’s warm, durable, and just the thing you want everyone from high school to spot you in. It screams, “I’m successful and doing much better than you in life, but I don’t need to rub it in your face or anything.”
Pair your chunky knit with a simple pant like this Hawkings McGill Stretch Skinny Chino Pant from Urban Outfitters. A dark straight or skinny jean would work as well.
I’m also really digging this Jacquard-knit Sweater from H&M. You can never go wrong with some good stripes and a simple print, especially around the holidays.

Tis the season for boots! It’s time to make sure you’re stocked up with some of the hottest boot styles this season, from chelsea to over the knee. Here are just a few of my favorites that you should run to the store to get.
1) Over-the-knee boots – Really a style that started as a trend that’s just a staple now. My favorite version is the Stuart Weitzman – Highland boot. This boot is everything to me. It can really turn any outfit into a “wow” outfit. And it comes in a few colors… if grey is too bold for you, go for the classic black version. And if the heel is daunting, there’s always the lowland version which, in my opinion, is just as hot.
2) 50/50 Boots – For those who have calf issues with boots, whether too big or too small, 50/50 boots are half leather, half elastic-y material so they can fit calves of varying sizes. Stuart Weitzman also wins my favorite in this style, but there are plenty of more affordable styles, like these INC 50/50 boots from Macy’s.
3) Stiletto Ankle bootie – A nice high heeled ankle boot can edge up a look like a girly dress in no time. I’m in love with these Saint Laurent – Paris metallic leather boots. First they’re gold, which is amazing, and second that silhouette is just perfect.
4) The everyday boots – I may like the look of high-heels, but I don’t like the pain, so I always have a pair of flat or low-heeled boots when lots of walking is required. I just adore a low stacked heel ankle boot. They go perfect with skinny jeans or any mini-skirt. Added bonus with these Circus by Sam Edelman Reese Monk Strap boots is that pointed toe. The more pointed the toe, the better.

November 25, 2014Pssst… guys! It’s that time of year again. That time when your lady is expecting a holiday gift she can brag to all her friends about. You want to get that gush-worthy gift for her, but when you ask her what she wants, she’ll probably shrug and say she will love whatever you buy her. And although this sounds like a dream come true… it’s a trap! Truth is, it’s likely she’s trying to telepathically communicate her wish list. And if you’re like any other man, reading your woman’s mind is definitely one of your weaknesses.
Think of the things she already has, but always wishes she had more of or an updated version. It’s a bit like video games are for many men (though it’s best not to admit it!). Take mental notes about certain colors and types of jewelry she wears – this will make it easy to choose the perfect gift that she will wear without end! And if you really wanna score a few points, try thinking outside the box this season with a gift that she will really enjoy!
Here’s an idea. Give her what she really wants for the holidays… something she deserves. Why not reward your lady with a gift that shows her just how sweet and thoughtful you are. I’m thinking that a little bit of pampering should do the trick! So on Black Friday, after the turkey has been gobbled up, and the shopping madness is back to normal, surprise your lady with her very own personal pamper party! A day of relaxation to recover from turkey week. Sprinkle in a few extra treats and you’ve got the recipe for a bliss-filled night!
We’ve taken out all of the guess work for you with a few gushing-goodies that’ll make you King of the Checkout Counter. You’ll go down in gift-giving history and, most importantly, you’ll be a hit at the office when she gushes over just how thoughtful and amazing her guy is! Who’s the man now, Santa?!
You’re A Star – Lush Cosmetics – Macy’s $79.95
Lavish from the inside out, this gift is just what she needs to make her feel like a star.
Sequin Charm Bracelets – Bloomingdale’s $38.00
Send positive vibes her way with one of these stackable 14k gold-plated charms that bear meaningful words like “strength,” “balance,” or “goodness” as a subtle yet strengthening daily reminder.
Heat Lounge (Lenox Square)
After all of that Black Friday shopping, she’s gonna need a place to relax and let her hair down… literally! Opt for The Ultimate Makeover ($60)…you’ll thank me for it!
Macaron Queen (Lenox Square)
One word… macarons! If there’s anything a girl loves more than life, it’s gotta be something sweet. These tiny treats are straight from heaven and will definitely score you a few points (and kisses too).

November 25, 2014Fellow Style Mavens!
This past weekend we welcomed the legendary brand “Rockwell Tharp” to The Fashion Mall at Keystone. One of the mall’s newest store additions, Day Furs, hosted their grand opening event and to celebrate the occasion, the owners (who happen to also be the designers of this rock-western brand) were on hand to answer questions and meet with guests in-store all weekend.
Worn proudly by many celebrities around the world, Rockwell Tharp has quickly gained a cult following, especially from rock and western artists. The designer’s huge range and customization availability has helped make these special boots so popular.
You can see below a few of the styles that were on display at Day Furs. One of my favorites the blonde cheetah cowboy boot.
In addition to boots, they also make hand woven and beaded bags such as the one shown below on the left. The classic leather bag below on the right shows a more conservative side to the brand.
As you can see, there is nothing ordinary about anything from Rockwell Tharp. If you’re wanting to stand out in the crowd or make a personal fashion statement, then this brand is definitely for you.
You can see how I styled my Rockwell Tharp boots here. So hop to finding your favorite this season and add it to your holiday gift list in time for Santa to stop by and pick it up for you!
Happy shopping my friends!
Bisous bisous,
Bronte xx
