For those of you who know about your Mazda’s, prepare to forget everything you know. The Mazda 6, the 2016 model, is a whole new level up from previous versions, and in the best way possible. Replace your former notions with visions of streamlined design, reminiscent of – dare I say it – a Tesla Model S, and a rich-looking grille in the front. Enrich your imagination with a spacious cabin, large enough to fit three giant teenagers or car seats if need be. Now imagine that this vehicle scores impressively high on crash test ratings (Top Safety Pick Plus by the IIHS), kudos and accolades from auto industry gurus (Car & Driver “10Best”), and is dangerously affordable (starting MSRP: $21,495).
Now you’re thinking the new 2016 Mazda 6.
I wouldn’t be telling you all of this if I didn’t get to test it and give it my seal of approval. Upon hopping in my (wink, wink) 2016 Mazda 6, I noticed the cleanly engineered center console, a dashing dashboard and conveniently accessible controls. The Mazda 6 is all about tech, ensuring safety for its passengers. Features like a Blind Spot Monitoring System, Smart Break Support with Collision Warning and even an electronic parking brake all make this model ready for anything the new year brings.
Riding around in style has never been so fun. I loved pulling up to my usual daily activities and errands in this sleek and chic sedan, and it allowed me to fit whatever I needed in the cabin – an important feature for someone like me! 😀
With its design and tech-savvy specs, the 2016 Mazda 6 had me feeling like a million bucks, but it costs just a meager fraction of that amount. Think somewhere around $34,000 for the Grand Touring Edition. Who said you had to have deep pockets to drive a beautiful car? It’s safe to say I’m definitely putting the Mazda 6 on my Christmas list (hint, hint)!
Disclaimer: Mazda USA and Drive Shop USA provided me with a vehicle to test drive, however all opinions are my own.
