A Night of Mystery and Mmm-Mmm-Good BBQ!

WANTED Dead or Alive The Murder Mystery Company

Have you ever played Clue – the murder mystery board game, where you accuse others of the crime (why is the candlestick always the murder weapon?!)? Well, what if I were to tell you that you could experience Clue in real-life?

Let me explain. There’s this fabulously entertaining business by the name of The Murder Mystery Company, and they specialize in murder mystery parties. Basically, they hold public shows that anyone can buy a ticket to, and with the use of talented actors, they immerse the audience as a part of a murder mystery dinner experience. It is too cool!

They even give you the option for a private party, where they bring the mystery to you, and let you host your own dinner party. Such a fun idea to get everyone together for a different kind of night.

The Murder Mystery Company The Murder Mystery Company

I had the pleasure of getting my very own firsthand experience with The Murder Mystery Company, just to see what all of the hubbub was about. 🙂 Our particular show was held at The Greater Good Barbecue restaurant, which is located in Tucker, GA. The Murder Mystery Company really catered to their surroundings, putting on a Western-style “Wanted Dead or Alive” show. Thanks to the super fun and entertaining actors, the whodunit show was perfect… Especially when you’re chomping down on some too-good-to-be-true barbecue. 😛

For those of you who are looking to spice up your weekend plans and try something new, I definitely recommend taking part in your own Clue-style show. The Murder Mystery Company operates in 35 venues over multiple states, so you’re sure to find fun even if you’re not in Georgia – just hop on over to www.grimprov.com, where you can check out the location details and purchase tickets.

And remember— there’s always the option of hosting your own Murder Mystery Dinner… Just make sure there aren’t any candlesticks lying around. 😉

The Murder Mystery Company does shows up here in Boston, too. My hubby and I went to a mafia themed one last fall and had a BLAST. It’s definitely a fun night out.

I have always wanted to do this. My ex mother in law took the older 3 kids to a mystery train a couple years ago and they had an awesome time!

I know so many people that have done variations of these. I got to go to one when they first started doing these (at someone’s house) and it was a lot of fun.

Oh this sounds like something I would love to do for Valentine’s Day instead of the boring dinner. I will have to see if it’s coming our way and try and get hubby involved.
