It’s always a treat to explore new eateries, so when PostFav gave me the chance to sink my teeth into another tasty experience, I – of course – obliged! What’s the new joint, you ask?
It’s called Inchin’s Bamboo Garden. Located in John’s Creek, this Pan-Asian fusion restaurant serves up the delectably unique dishes you never knew you were missing. Take my advice; try the Vegetable Tulips for an appetizer, and you’ll be in love at first bite! But before I get into the delicious menu details, let’s backtrack a little…
For this tasting adventure my #BloggerBoo and fellow foodie Ally McGlam came along for the flavor-filled fun. Here’s are the eatales. 😛 Upon arrival, I felt instantly transported into a serene and upscale Asian atmosphere – probably because Inchin’s uses foolproof Feng Shui arrangement techniques, which are known to promote the positive flow of energy throughout a room. And let me tell you, I could feel the positivity! The vibe was beautifully authentic. The décor included chic bamboo partitions, a stunning stacked stone façade, terracotta warriors, and touchable textures all true to the venue’s inspiration. The ambiance didn’t come by chance, though – the owner made a point to bring back real artifacts from China to create this genuine feel. It was an awesome touch!
Now, back to the food. The restaurant’s inspiration hails from a historical standpoint; way back in the 18th century, Chinese people migrated to India, and the cuisine in India has ever since been influenced by the flavors of China. The food at Inchin’s Bamboo Garden gives you a taste of many far eastern countries; some dishes using Malaysian cooking, while others incorporate Thai. So that’s why I’ve got quite a few things on the list for Need To Try…
I know I already mentioned the Vegetable Tulips – this tangy appetizer is a flavorful way to start your meal off with a hint of spice. But if spicy isn’t your style, you should try Inchin’s version of crispy Fried Wontons. Also, Inchin’s carries a variety of in-house sauces that you can take home to add more dee-lish to your very own dish! As we washed down these appetizers with a sweet Passion Fruit Mojito, I was wondering what kind of flavors we would experience next!
Then came out the entrée samples; The Chicken Manchurian is a very popular dish at the eatery, and I could tell why! It’s a fantastic combination of diced chicken and chili, mixed with onions, celery, ginger, and sprinkled with cilantro. I also tried the Chicken Thai Curry, reminding me that Inchin’s is not your average restaurant! But my absolute favorite of the night was the Crispy Lamb Peking. Tangy, flavorful, and downright delicious, this entrée had shredded lamb with carrot and green pepper, transporting my taste buds straight to Asia. I could eat the Crispy Lamb Peking again and again!
And just when we thought our palette was satisfied, it was time to sample two desserts. (If I must!) Perhaps in part due to my love affair with chocolate, I really enjoyed the Chocolate Spring Rolls With Vanilla Dip, which had notes of cashew to offset the sweetness. I also stepped out of my comfort zone and tried the Date Wontons With Vanilla Ice Cream, and was pleasantly surprised by the sweet date-stuffed wontons topped with icing sugar. The ice cream on the side didn’t hurt either.
It’s safe to say my Pan-Asian experience at Inchin’s Bamboo Garden left a great taste in my mouth. Inchin’s Bamboo Garden can be found at 13 different locations across the country, and is soon opening up in Australia, too!
But I do need to make a confession… I’d be lying if I said I knew how to pick out the best dishes at first glance. I was able to meet with Megha, Inchin’s Social Media Director, and she was kind enough to give me a rundown of the unique menu! With a little help from Megha, I was able to try some of the most delicious dishes tailored to my liking.
But you can’t just take my word for it. There are so many more amazing options to taste-test… You’ve got to try this place yourself! If you’re in the John’s Creek area, head down to Inchin’s Bamboo Garden and find your new favorite dishes. Oh, and as a subscriber to Oh! Nikka, when you dine at Inchin’s from now til November 15th 2015, be sure to show this blog post to receive a complimentary cocktail! Pssst… The Passion Fruit Mojito is still calling my name… 😛
Huge hugs to Ally McGlam for sharing a few bites with me…literally! I can’t wait to head back for 2nds… 3rds… 4ths… 5ths!!! 😉
Inchin’s Bamboo Garden is located at 11105 State Bridge Road, Suite 200 in Johns Creek, GA.
