The Georgia Aquarium is one of the best places for family fun. It’s an outing suitable for all ages, that takes you on an aquatic adventure unlike any other. And, for the past 10 years, the Georgia Aquarium has been dazzling both young and old with spectacular shows featuring some of the world’s most majestic creatures. Fun fact: When the aquarium opened back in 2005, it made the Guinness Book of World Records for having more aquatic life than any other aquarium at the time! Wow!!!
It’s hard to believe that the Georgia Aquarium is celebrating its 10 year anniversary, so I was super delighted to be a part of a special preview of the aquarium’s newest attractions. To commemorate it’s 10 year celebration, the Georgia Aquarium is showcasing several new exhibits featuring sea lions and dolphins that are aimed at giving audiences a more up-close experience with these adorable sea creatures. Needless to say, it was an experience unlike anything I’ve ever sea-n. 😉
One of the new exhibits at the aquarium is the sea lions gallery at SunTrust Pier 225. With a build cost of $40 million, the sea lions experience was a dazzling delight. During the #GASeaLionPremiere, these adorable sea lions flipped-flopped around and snagged some laughs as the crowd watched in amazement. But what’s extra special about the exhibit is that all of the sea lions in the show are rescues, two of which are pups Neptune and Jupiter, which were saved from California’s recent mortality incident. Way to care Georgia Aquarium!!!
Another of the new exhibits was the #GADolphinPresentation. I think it’s safe to say that just about everyone loves a dolphin show! These playful creatures are just so much fun to watch, no matter your age. The new AT&T Dolphin Celebration experience was action-packed and had great music to go along with it — something everyone will love. And if you want to further submerse yourself in the fun, the first 12 rows are in what’s called the “soak zone.” Yep, someone’s gonna get wet!!! 😀 It was so great seeing the relationships between the dolphins and their trainers, and the show itself was as educational as it was entertaining.
Last but not least, we got to preview the 4D Theatre, which was newly renovated. What did we watch, you might ask? A 15-minute version of Happy Feet, of course! (One of my fave movies by the way) I was very impressed with the new additions to the theatre. There are new interactive seats, a state-of-the-art sound system, and all kinds of special effects like bubbles, scents, ticklers, and even snow to make the experience that much more immersive! It’s safe to say that audiences are gonna get a kick out of these new features! There is also a brand-new, interactive pre-show to get the audience even more excited. And, the best part about the new theatre is that your admission is included with your Georgia Aquarium general admission ticket! #SayNoMore
I had such a blast previewing the new attractions during the Georgia Aquarium’s 10th Anniversary Celebration, and I can’t wait to take my family to see and experience all of the other awesome exhibits the aquarium has to offer. I love that the aquarium’s exhibits are full of fun and fun facts that help you learn more about precious aquatic life. Heck, I enjoyed myself so much that I didn’t even realize I was learning something along the way!

That sounds great. My kids have always been big fans of going to the aquarium. We go to the one in Boston all the time.
There is so much more to do at the Aquarium than when we last visited. I’m so glad I read this, I’m going to put an Aquarium trip on our summer to-do list. I can’t even remember the last time we saw a dolphin show, should be fun.
Wow! What a stunning place to visit! I think it would be so neat to be walking through a tunnel with the sea life all around you like that!
I love the Georgia Aquarium! It’s about two hours away from us so it’s a fun day trip.
That looks like SOO much fun! I would love to check out this aquarium. I used to live in Georgia but this was not there when I was there.
This looks like the coolest aquarium. I had no idea it held the Guinness record for most aquatic life.
That place is impressive, we don’t have anything like that in MN… I will have to take my kids there some day, they would love that aquarium!
Oh my goodness, I love dolphins! What a fun show! If I ever get out to Georgia, I’ll look this place up!
Wow, that place just looks amazing. I never knew they had it above your head as well. I would love to go there.
These are great photos! Aquariums are so much fun for the kids!
Awwww! I want to kiss a sea lion! How cool is that! I definitely must add this to my list of places to visit soon.

I love aquariums! I recently went swimming with sharks in the Tampa Bay aquarium! 😀
We’ve always had a great time when we go there. Next time you’re going, holler and I’ll see if I can take the kids then as well.
