Secret’s out! I have a bit of a sweet tooth.
And when it comes to my confections of choice, the light tiny-tasty-treats hailing from France known as macarons (pronounced “mac-uh-rohn”) are definitely a favorite. Fluffy and filled with delicious flavors, these cute little crush-worthy cookies are the perfect pastries to indulge in a little decadence!
That’s why I was overjoyed when my friends over at New York-based MacarOn Café thoughtfully sent me a box of macarons to pamper my palete. But as coincidences would have it I was already en route to the Big Apple for other fun (stay tuned to hear about it!) and would be able to sample these sweets in person! Talk about timing! Once the team at the Times Square location knew I’d be stopping by, they were kind enough to set up a fabulous mini tasting for me in their adorable shop.
The café was super cute inside; all the bright colors immediately put a smile on my face, but… I couldn’t wait to wrap my taste buds around a few bites. I got to sample quite a few of their more than 40+ fab flavors, and each was just as delicious as the last. If I was forced to choose one favorite to recommend (and trust me I’m so looking forward to this scenario), you should definitely try the Lychee Rose. (queue fainting spell) They are sooo delish!! Now if your sweet tooth is on lunch break, not too worry. MacarOn Café also offers other café cravings like salads and sandwiches to hold you over (until dessert anyways). 😉
Hey, if you’re ever in the NYC be sure to stop by one of MacarOn Café’s 4 locations — Times Square: 152 West 36th Street between Broadway and 7th Ave., Midtown: 3rd Ave between 46th & 47th Streets; the Fashion District: 59th Street between Madison & Park Avenues; and Tribeca: 303 Greenwich Street between Reade St. and Chambers St. Oh, and be sure to tell em Nikka Shae sent you! And don’t be surprised if you see me curled up in the corner with a box (or four) of these beauties!
And if you can’t make it out to the Big Apple, not to worry! The best part is that MacarOn Café ships these uh-mazing pastries all over the U.S. and even to Canada, so you can have your sweets and get em delivered too!
Also, be sure to find and follow MacarOn Café at @MacarOnCafe to see some of the sweetest snaps on social media!

Macarons are such a popular treat. I’m seeing them now more than ever. I like that I can have just one (or so) and save the rest for later. The packaging on Confection Fetish just just the cutest.
Yes!!! Good things do come in small packages. The perfect size for a quick nibble without the guilty feeling after.
I’ll be taking a trip to New York so I will have to check this place out. I love macaroons and so far the best ones I had are from a place called Botega Louie in LA. I can’t wait to try these.
They are sooo delish! And they have several locations around the city too so it’s super easy to score a taste! Lemme know what u think!
