Hey Divas,
Now anyone that knows me knows that I have a serious obsession for all things fab. The more fab the better! In fact, if I had to rate my infatuation with fabulocity I would have to say that it is seriously teetering on therapeutic intervention. 🙂 So when I heard that the Henri Bendel was hosting a shopping event to introduce their Atlanta retail store, an immediate rush of excitement came upon me as this would be the perfect opportunity for me to earn my stripes in my quest to become a Bendel Girl. 🙂
For those of you who don’t know about and/or have never heard of Henri Bendel; well, let’s just say you should. Easily recognized by their signature brown and white stripes, Henri Bendel is synonymous with couture fashion as well Bendel is credited with bringing Parisian designer Coco Chanel’s fashions to the United States. Henri Bendel also introduced other worldwide fashion powerhouses such as Anna Sui, Stephen Burrows, Rick Owens, and the fabulous Diane von Furstenberg. Bendel launched their flagship retail store in New York in 1895, and has since opened more than 19 stores throughout the United States. I was first introduced to this fabulous brand a few years back via Bath & Body Works who carried a Henri Bendel bath line that I simply adored! At that time I picked up several of their lotions, bath gels and scrubs which smell sooo delish! Believe it or not I still have a small surplus of it left in my arsenal of beauty products. 🙂
Ok, now on to the event!
Held at their uber-chic Lenox Square Mall retail store, and hosted by the lovely Emily Loftiss, NYC beauty and style blogger, this event was nothing short of fabulous as guests mixed and mingled over champagne, while shopping Bendel’s collection of haute beauties. One lucky “Bendel Girl” even won a hatbox filled with Bendel signature staples. I was in full “jaw-drop” mode as all around me were lovely bracelets, necklaces, and rings, Oh my! And being that I have a weakness for girly goodies, you know I couldn’t help but indulge, so I snagged a Henri Bendel pomegranate scented travel candle which smelled so divine! (queue dramatic faint) 😀
Henri Bendel also carries a variety of tempting treats such as compact cases, cosmetic bags, scarves, totes, as well they offer many other personal accessories and gifts. I felt like the proverbial “kid in a candy store” as I browsed their “decadent” selection of Bendel signature fragrances, candles, beautiful handbags, and yummy jewelry and accessories that would satisfy any girl’s appetite. 😉 And although their flagship store in NYC may carry more of a smorgasbord of products in comparison, the Atlanta store provides just enough of a taste of the Bendel collection to have you craving for more.
I had a wonderful time meeting the amazing ladies and gents of “Team Bendel” as well as Henri Bendel DM, Danielle Bergman who was also in attendance to support the launch.
Thanks to the gorg Emily Loftiss for the invite and for hosting such a lovely event.
Emily has such a wonderful and amazing spirit; and she was also wearing a stunning Henri Bendel necklace that I could not take my eyes (and nearly my hands) off of. 😉
So in closing, as I do my Mary Tyler Moore twirl while being serenaded by the melody of “you might just make it after all” in the background…and after my Bendel experience, I’m definitely feeling more like a Bendel Girl!
