It’s time! I told I’d keep you posted on my detective duties and our secret #SpiesNightIn mission, and it is finally time to divulge the details. #SpiesNightIn was a soaring success, so I’ll have to spill the secrets about what made it so great.
When my fellow special agents Alicia (Alias: Ally McGlam) and Candyce (Alias: The Sewcialite) arrived to our top-secret destination, it was time to unpack the items from our Spy Survival Kit to see what we were working with. We had the essentials — a Red Cross flashlight, smart phone charger and a survival whistle – but we were also provided with a few game-changers.
As I downloaded SPY on Digital HD on iTunes, we looked further into our kit to find a fingerprinted tablecloth and a Spy Snack Pack. But that wasn’t it – we also had some sneaky disguises. It wasn’t until we started watching the movie that we realize the disguise we received is the same one Melissa McCarthy’s character wears in the movie! Finally, all the pieces were coming together.
Dressed in all black, wearing cool shades and toting a Sherlock Holmes-inspired magnifying glass, we thought we had it all covered. But without the hilarious granny wig and cat T-shirt provided in our kit, we would have been spotted in a heartbeat!
We prepared the Pop Secret popcorn and divided the Sour Patch Kids, M&Ms, Hershey’s chocolate bars from our Snack Pack. With SPY on the screen, we were completely hysterical at McCarthy’s crazy antics and had a blast feeling like we could have been right alongside her, solving mysteries and saving the day!
I suppose I should also mention that we spies had a little thirst-quencher, too. In the spirit of secret sips, we mixed up a delicious drink called the 007. It’s a combination of Absolut Vodka, 7up, and orange juice. Perhaps this also aided in the movie night mission’s success, but we may never know. 😉
Catching this flick with friends was the perfect way to end my last weekend of summer. It was so much fun to kick back with my blogger boo’s, enjoy a few sips, and lots of laughs! Just what I needed to prepare me for another activity-filled fall season. You can have your own #SpiesNightIn too, just download SPY in Digital HD on iTunes and get to solving mysteries, divas!
