Four days at the beach and more than 800 amazing wines at my disposal? Sign me up!!
This past spring, we found ourselves at the South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival near Destin, Florida. This action-packed event had all kinds of amazing wine activities and tastings—Spirits Row, the Rosé All Day Garden, Savor South Walton Culinary Village, and Nosh Pavilions were just a few of the highlights. There was also live entertainment, which kept everyone buzzing with a great time!
Of course, the buzzing could have also been from the 800-plus wines that were poured by wine industry experts.
Likely to no surprise, my favorite part of this festival was the Rosé All Day Garden! I couldn’t help myself—I had to have a mini photoshoot in this bubbly garden. Rose is my absolute favorite, and we got to try all kinds of rose wines in the garden. Needless to say, I was in pink wine paradise!!
What’s even better about this fabulous wine-centric event is that you get to help children in need while you enjoy. Proceeds from this year’s festival benefited the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, which Wine Spectator magazine named a “Top 10 Wine Charity Auction!”
The gorgeous beach setting and incredible wine and foods we indulged in made for the most wonderful event. I am mostly definitely putting the South Walton Wine & Food Fest on my schedule for 2019! It comes to the Florida panhandle the last weekend of April each year, so mark your calendars if you love drinking wine and feeling fine.
