A Gentlemen’s Spring Shorts Bulletin

Fashionably brought to you by Simon Malls

Spring. It’s a simultaneously terrifying and wonderful season. Why? Because the days get warmer and men insist on bringing those horrible cargo shorts back out of the closet.

I’ve tried to rationalize it in my head for years. Is it the pocket space? Aren’t men stereotypically supposed to be the less high maintenance of the sexes, therefore needing to carry less around? Is it the aversion to something more fitted? I can understand this idea, but that doesn’t mean you need to go around slapping a million pockets onto the thing.

Vacation Styles with Tory Burch

Fashionably brought to you by Simon Malls

Hello Fashion Lovers,

It looks like Spring Break and Summer are just around the corner for us! So, it's about time to search for your ideal vacation looks. When I think of vacationing, I always imagine durable materials, well-fitted pieces and, above all, clean, sleek and chic items. There's nothing more refreshing and relaxing than wearing an all white or nude colored outfit. It set the tone for your whole vacation and also puts you in the mood for relaxing and drifting off to a carefree state of mind. Tory Burch's Resort and Spring collection embodies the carefree world perfectly with sleek jacquard dresses with their emblem and fun textures accessories, like this nude and cream purse that's perfect for any breakfast, lunch or dinner date! I think my overall feeling of the collection has to be my love for how crisp it all ties in together. It's easy to look boring in such a muted tone outfit, but these exceptional details and fun textures really set the overall look apart from all other vacation styles.

You can snag these Tory Burch pieces at The Shops at Mission Viejo and Brea Mall Nordstrom locations!

Go Boho 70s this Spring

Fashionably brought to you by Simon Malls

jeans: J Brand | top: ASOS | hat: Urban Outfitters

One of my fave trends this season is still going retro, but this time that means the 70s. This means throwing it back with lots of denim, and possibly some suede, from Saturday night fever to bohemian hippy chic. Here are four pieces I think you need to get in your closet to get you right in the trend.

1) Denim – From Flared/Bell Bottom to Wide Leg Jeans or Culottes
2) Billow-y Boho  – Anything in a boho print, and/or flowy or off the shoulder shape, will ease you into summer.
3) Platforms – Nothing goes better with Flares than a pair of Platforms
4) Fringe – Fringe is still in this season, grab it in an accessory or in a skirt.

Keep Things Shady with Ray-Ban

Fashionably brought to you by Simon Malls

When it comes to sunglasses, there isn’t a more trusted name than Ray-Ban.

Synonoumus with sophistication and laid-back comfort, Ray-Ban has been creating classic sunglass styles since 1937. And each spring, when the shorts get shorter and the sun comes back out, they’re my go-to first purchase.

Trend Alert: Go Gaga for Gingham

Fashionably brought to you by Simon Malls

Spring won’t be long now… at least I’m hoping. So while most of the country is buried under piles of snow and packing on the layers of clothes, I’ll be day dreaming about warmer pastures, and shorter hemlines (but just slightly). I’ll also be thinking about all the wonderful trends for Spring that I can’t wait to start wearing, but don’t worry, I’ll definitely be sharing a bit of my favorites here with you.

Jonathan Saunders // Rebecca Minkoff // J. Crew // Topshop Unique

We are deep into every fashionista’s favorite holiday of the year – fashion week! We have already hit New York and London, and now the fashion world is off to Millan to see what designers have come up with for the Fall 2015 season. Some of our favorite designers having been preparing for months in order to put on the best show during these few weeks, and now we finally get to see what they have been hiding in their fashion houses all this time. We’ve seen some old trends popping up on the runways, such as fringe detailing and, of course, black and white. But, one trend that has seemed to have a heavy emphasis during fashion week is a throwback to the 1970’s.
