Winter to me means snuggling up next to the fireplace, decorating the house with festive elements, and getting away with adding more sparkles to any outfit. One of my favorite ways to get into the spirit is accessorizing. Accessories really add to an outfit and tie everything together, especially this time of year when there are always fun (and shiny) accessories for any girl. For my girls that like to go all out, there are Beyonce approved reindeer headbands that will be a hit at any holiday party. For the girls that like it it a little more toned down, there are tons of classy feminine headbands available too. Try a bow, which never goes out of style, or even a basic sequined headband that is essential for any accessory collection. If you live somewhere cold, that doesn't mean you can't have fun with accessories, too. I already love the knit headband trend not only because they are cute, but also because they really do keep your ears warm when it is a tad too nippy outside. Now in stores are knit headbands that are even cuter with added designs and embellishments fit for the season. So no matter what kind of girl you are, there is a winter accessory out there for you!

This fall/winter season, my most coveted style is the throwback mod look. It was also listed as one of the the hottest trends this season in the Simon/Glamour Lookbook Live. It's full on mini skirts, shift dresses, capes, and, of course, boots to match. It's a great style that pretty much all ages can rock. You can wear a classy shift dress to work, or one with sparkles for a holiday party. For all other days, play up the mod look with some fur accessories, big sunglasses, and a chunky turtleneck with your hair tucked in. Still too cold? A nice swing coat or blanket cape will keep you mod. Top the whole look off with a nice wingtip eyeliner.

And since I'm so in love with this trend, I decided it was time for a photo shoot over at my blog We Wear Things. So my BFF (We Wear Things partner Fifi) and I donned our best Mod Girl/School Girl/Librarian-esque looks and shot at the beautiful local used bookstore, Kaboom Books.

If you are a fashion lover, style addict, or event remotely interested in clothes, then you have heard of the house of Louis Vuitton. This past week, The Fashion Mall at Keystone held the grand opening of the newly redesigned and relocated Louis Vuitton Boutique exclusively inside Saks 5th Avenue.

The store is now three times larger than before and houses rare and exotic pieces you may not find elsewhere, plus a larger assortment of men's Vuitton and travel accessories. 

The soiree saw just under 100 exclusive invitees peruse the latest LV offerings while nibbling on passed delicacies from Late Harvest Kitchen while a Moet and Chandon Champagne Bar provided flowing celebratory bubbles. 

The new boutique is open during regular Saks store hours and houses one of the best collections of LV for your shopping pleasure! Be sure you take the time to explore this wonderful addition on your next tour of The Fashion Mall at Keystone. You won't be disappointed.

Taylor Swift seems to be living the good life right now. She just released a new album that is blowing up the charts and has been spotted all around town in some of the cutest outfits of the season (can we seriously raid her closet?). Taylor was photographed in this look a few weeks ago as she strutted her stuff on the streets of New York. This outfit could not possibly emulate what fall and winter fashions means more. The comfy oversized poncho, with emerald pants, and a scarf to match just screams winter. She also threw in some muted elements such as her brown bag and boots, and of course rocked her staple red lip for a flirty pop.
 

Her poncho is really what grabbed my attention, so I searched and found it at TopShop. To my surprise, the poncho was not as expensive as I expected, and it could be something to squeeze into your winter wardrobe budget. It's super cozy looking, being slouchy and oversized, plus the warm colors just add even further. It would look great thrown over skinny jeans like Taylor has done here, or even some tights and high knee boots. I think this poncho is definitely a strong winter investment and a good way to be a little more trendy when dressing for sweater weather this season.
