Now that the Who’s Who in Hues, PANTONE Inc, has named “Radiant Orchid” the Color of the Year for 2014, it’s time to start incorporating this “radiant” tone into your wardrobe. And just as its name implies, radiant orchid is a vibrant and versatile hue that’s makes a bold statement. With its rosy undertones of pinks and purples, orchid is an effortless option for both women and men. This fabulously fresh tone also works just a well in the home as it does in your closet. A subtle touch of orchid in your décor will liven up any space with the perfect ambiance. Here are a few ways to add this blooming beauty into your style.

Celebrate Patio Season with Lenox Square Food and Fashion on April 24

Lenox Fashion Café Block Party Features Light Bites, Live Music and a Runway Show from Bauder College

Hosted by Simon Style Setter Nikka Shae on Thursday, April 24 from 4 -6pm, shoppers can discover new dining options as part of the mall’s multi-phase renovation project including Sprinkles Cupcakes, Freshii and remodeled Great Wraps and Häagen-Dazs. Guests can also enjoy patio season with the mall’s new option to dine outside on its garden patio.

The Lenox Fashion Café Block Party kicks off at 4pm with live entertainment on the patio, light bites, cocktails and surprises in the mall’s Lenox Fashion Café. Beginning at 5pm, students in the fashion design program at Bauder College will go head-to-head in a special competition titled Design Wars. Local models, courtesy of Factor Woman Models, will unveil exclusive designs inspired by Sprinkles Cupcakes, Zinburger Wine and Burger Bar, Chick-fil-A, Freshii and Macaroon Queen.

Throughout the evening, guests can continue to enjoy Lenox Square’s new offerings by savoring items from the Lenox Fashion Café’s restaurants and gathering on the patio. In celebration of the spring season, guests can also all learn about horticulture and edible plants and flowers from the Southeastern Horticulture Society.

How To: White on White

Spring is officially here and I don’t know about y’all, but I have already pulled out my key white ensembles for a spin around the city. I love how clean and chic white on white outfits look and how immediately confident it makes a person look when they wear it. I think it is because many people can be intimidated on wearing white on white and how to wear it the “right” way…although I do not necessary believe in a “right” way to do fashion if it is done your way and with confidence. Below, I put together my favorite look when wearing white. Y’all know I try to wear a blazer at all times if I can.

In order to avoid looking too washed out with white, I decided to add a pop of color with the cobalt shoes and the red lip. A red lip takes any outfit up a notch, and the same is true for an all white outfit. I finished this look with a winged eye (why not?) and my dream purse in white. Get into this look below!

Rio 2 returns to theaters on April 11

It’s a jungle out there for Blu, Jewel and their three kids in RIO 2, after they’re hurtled from that magical city to the wilds of the Amazon. As Blu tries to fit in, he goes beak-to-beak with the vengeful Nigel, and meets the most fearsome adversary of all – his father-in-law.

All our favorite RIO characters are back, and they’re joined by Oscar® nominee Andy Garcia, Grammy® winner Bruno Mars, Tony® winner Kristin Chenoweth and Oscar/Emmy®/Tony winner Rita Moreno.
