The Power of Pink

Brighton Collectibles Power of Pink

Brighton Collectibles, located in Phipps Plaza in Atlanta, is hosting its Power of Pink event to benefit Breast Cancer Research and Awareness.

2012 marks Brighton Collectibles’ 10th anniversary in support of finding a cure for this life threatening disease, and to date Brighton Collectibles has raised over $4.5 million towards Breast Cancer Research and Awareness efforts. Each year Brighton Collectibles offers a commemorative limited-edition Breast Cancer Bracelet with proceeds of each sale benefiting various breast cancer research organizations. A portion of this year’s donations will benefit the Doris Shaheen Breast Health Center at Piedmont Hospital.

The Power of Pink event will be held inside Brighton Collectibles in Phipps Plaza from 2:30pm – 4:30pm on Saturday, October 27th. Guests can shop the stores collection of breast cancer awareness inspired jewelry and accessories, as well as experience a cooking demo and cook book signing by Chef Nancy Waldeck, author of Taste to Savor. Guests will also receive tips on healthy cooking.

I can’t wait to rock my pink at this amazing event! I am a true “pink diva” and I absolutely love that Brighton Collectibles offers a variety of fabulous pink accessories in support of breast cancer awareness. Brighton’s pink Color Cable Bracelet ($48.00) and Venus Ring ($48.00) are just a few of their breast cancer awareness-inspired accessories that would make a nice addition to any fashionistas collection. You can shop Brighton’s pink accessory collection HERE.

Brighton Collectibles commemorative Breast Cancer Bracelet for 2012

Brighton Collectibles commemorative Breast Cancer Bracelet for 2012

And speaking of pinkalicious accessories, Brighton Collectibles’ 2012 Breast Cancer Bracelet ($50) has touches of light rose Swarovski crystals set within a dangling heart charm, a fabulous pink ribbon charm, and lovely pink accented links. I simply adore the nice accents of Swarovski crystals throughout, and the pink ribbon charm is a wonderful show of support for everyone that has been affected by breast cancer. This beauty is also very versatile as it can be worn as a silver bracelet when flipped to the reverse side. Love it!!! And with proceeds from this bracelet to benefit breast cancer research, you can look fabulous while supporting a worthwhile cause.

So come out, shop, and show your support for breast cancer research and awareness at Brighton Collectibles. You won’t want to miss this event!

Wednesday Rewind: BFF Tweet & Eat at Shula’s

BFF TweetUp at Shula's: Tweet & Eat

Hey Lovelies!

Well… looks like another BFF bash is officially in the books. And like always, the BFF ladies showed up and showed out for this exciting BFF Tweetup event. This go’ round we met up at one of our fave hangouts Shula’s 347 Grill in Buckhead for a fabulous gal-pal gala with great food, gifts & giveaways, goodies, and great times!

The night was extra special for me since Shula’s 347 Grill was the location for my very first BFF Tweetup event. The BFF’s have grown in numbers since then, but the fun has remained the same. I always have a great time hanging with my fellow BFF’s and I can’t think of a better place to host such a glam gathering than at Shula’s 347 Grill. I mean, the ambiance is absolutely amazing, the food is always on point, great drink specials, AND live music… Yep, they literally have to drag me outta there each and every time. LOL

BFF Tweet & Eat at Shula's 347 Grill

Of course, no BFF event would be complete without a “few tweets” right?! So, like always, we continued on our mission to shut down Twitter and Instagram with tons of pics and plenty of posts. You can get a glimpse at all of the BFF fun on Twitter at #BFFTweetup. We even had a new diva join in on the BFF fun that eve. The fabulous Tori Allen of Brainchild Associates dropped by bearing several fab giveaways for the ladies. I got a peek at the gift bags just moments before the lucky BFF members won the coveted prizes. One of the bags contained makeup from Bovanti Cosmetics. Bovanti carries a variety of beauty enhancing products for lips, eyes, face, and skin. Truth be told I was but a mere inconspicuous head turn by Tori from snatching that baby up for myself. LOL Another gift bag contained hair polishers from Fantasia IC Haircare which was also on my watch (and grab) list. The last gift bag featured goodies from Basic Cosmetics. Basic Cosmetics carries this amazing new haircare system that not only straightens naturally textured hair without the use of any chemicals, but it can also enhance the natural curl definition of unstraightened hair as well. WOW! Yep, you guessed it… That baby nearly walked out the door in my clutches also. LOL

BFF Tweet & Eat at Shula's 347 Grill

Congrats to BFF members Portia, Soo Soo, and Tia Lou for snagging a few giveaways. Big hugs to Tori for coming out and providing those fabulous giveaways for the ladies. Thanks to BFF member Kiwi of Popularity Sweets for the delish cakepops. Thanks also to Karen Canavan PR for helping with the setup and for making this an unforgettable experience. Thanks to all of the sponsors who provided goodies for the ladies… Sephora, Macy’s, and the lovely Virginia Crowe of Bvlgari who generously supplied the ladies with those amazing samples. OMG…they smelled so divine! And last but certainly not least… thanks to Veronica Strong Young at Shula’s 347 Grill for providing such a wonderful setting for yet another fabulous BFF gathering.

BFF Tweet & Eat at Shula's 347 Grill

Wanna join in on the fun? Become a BFF member and you can be right there with us at our next event. The only requirement consists of your willingness to have pics of yourself having a fabulous time with your fellow BFF’s being posted all over social media. Think you can handle that? 😉

Nikka Shae with National Makeup Artist Antonio Costa of Giorgio Armani

Oh, before I forget… You’ll never guess how my night began. Prior to the event I stopped by Sak’s Fifth Avenue at Phipps Plaza and got my makeup whipped by none other than National Makeup Artist Antonio Costa of Giorgio Armani. Whoot Whoot! Talk about an amazing start to a fabulous night out with friends!

Pretty City hosts an amazing Girls Night Out unlike any other

Pretty City Atlanta - Livebeautifully

Hey Lovelies,

Although this is shaping up to be an Outstanding October, I’m still recouping from a Super Sassy September which featured a series of fabulous events that were by far the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Let’s see… there was Fashion’s Night Out, grand opening events at Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza, several movie premiers, a few BFF Tweetup’s with my Blog Fab Fashionistas, the launch of my BFF website… Wheeeew! Needless to say I’d been VERY busy and in desperate need of a bit of pampering. So when I heard about an amazing event being hosted by PrettyCity.com that featured beauty product samplings, on-site makeovers, complimentary spa and salon treatments, AND shopping… I thought hmmm, this is just the fix I need to rejuvenate myself.

If you’ve never heard of Pretty City, well let’s just say that you’re missing out on an amazing experience. PrettyCity.com is a beauty, leisure and wellness website devoted to making women everywhere prettier in some small way and richer in many big ways; by saving them money on the products and services they need to look and feel their best. The site boasts a comprehensive database of the country’s top spas, salons medspas and more including editorial reviews, reader reviews and service discounts plus product reviews, beauty trend stories and more. Pretty City also travels the country hosting a series of exclusive events that celebrate all things beauty. Attendees of these fabulous events are exposed to familiar products and brands while also discovering new products to make their daily lives more beautiful.

Pretty City Atlanta - Livebeautifully

The uber-chic Tongue & Groove lounge served as the backdrop as Pretty City partnered with SHAPE Magazine to bring their Livebeautifully campaign to Atlanta for a “Girl’s Night Out” unlike any other. Guests were greeted with complimentary sips from Naked Grape as well as yummy appetizers from Tongue & Groove. Attendees enjoyed sweet treats at the Pretty Sweet candy buffet, pampering stations complete with facials, massages, complimentary dry styling, mini makeovers, polish changes, discounts from participating vendors. And if that wasn’t enough there were also several fabulous giveaways and prizes. Guests also enjoyed complimentary face mapping skin analyses, product samples and savings from Dermalogica as well as sampling OurSkinny shakes and diet bars.

Pretty City Atlanta - Livebeautifully

Top beauty experts from the best beauty, style and wellness brands were also in house to pamper and primp guests throughout the event including Authentic Beauty, Bob Steele Salon, Che’s Hair Salon, D’Lor Salon & Spa, Dance 411 Studio, Elaine Sterling Institute, Golden Sol, American Laser Skincare, Gwynnis Mosby, Jamison Shaw, Lamaj De’Amor Traveling Boutique, Silpada, Sol Oasis, Solar Dimensions, Soul Purpose, Stella & Dot, Tonnae Nicole, Urban Tangles and Premier Spa and Wellness.

Pretty City Atlanta - Livebeautifully

Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to take advantage of all of the services available because I had a night out on the town scheduled later that eve, but I did manage to squeeze in a few hand treatments, a chair massage, a polish change (or two), and a complimentary dry styling. Now that I’m ♫ feeling pretty, oh so pretty, I’m ready for the city tonight…♫ (I’ve always wanted to sing that tune. :-D)

Pretty City Atlanta - Livebeautifully

Upon leaving we were each presented with a fabulous swag bag that was literally brimming with girly goodies. Now, I’ve seen a few goodie bags in my day, but never had I become speechless at the sight of the contents.  This baby contained full size products of ZuZu Luxe Cream Brow Pencil, Pureology Super Smooth Conditioner, Terra Dolce Lavender Green Tea soap, Glytone Daily Lotion, Emani Minerals blush, TheraPearl Hot & Cold Pack, and discounts coupons from Jamison Shaw, Bob Steele, Elaine Sterling Institute, and American Laser Skincare. Wow!!!

Thanks Pretty City for creating such an amazing experience! Wanna know where Pretty City will be next? Check out their upcoming calendar of events at http://www.prettycity.com/events.cfm

Vince Camuto Roll Tab Button Front Snakeskin Blouse from Macy's

Hi Lovelies,

The Fall season is officially upon us and fashion designers have been scrambling to fill retail shelves with the season’s hautest looks. And speaking of which, there have been many fab styles from past seasons that I will be incorporating into my fashion arsenal this Fall like leopard and snakeskin prints, and tribal-inspired accessories. Well lucky for me these fiercely fashionable trends are making a comeback for Fall and the shops at Lenox Square has the best selection to help you unleash your inner Fashionista.

Leopard Print Wrap Dress from Gap

Make a statement in this Leopard Print Wrap Dress from Gap $69.95 with its contrasting tones that make for a flattering look. Pair it with your most vicious pumps and be on the lookout for animal control.  😀

Vince Camuto Roll Tab Button Front Snakeskin Blouse from Macy's

This fabulous Vince Camuto Roll Tab Button Front Snakeskin Blouse from Macy’s $51.97 (Sale) is a great way to show everyone your fashion instincts.

Style Suggestion:

If you want to tame your style a bit, go with either a solid top or bottom with a contrasting animal print, or go all solids and accessorize with a fabulous pair of snakeskin pumps along with a clutch or purse. This approach can make all the difference and will add just the right amount of fierceness to your look. Or, for those who dare to walk on the wild side, use pieces that make more of a statement like a snakeskin-inspired jacket, or a haute pair of print pants or leggings.

So, surry on down to Lenox Square and get your paws on the hautest looks for Fall.

Now you can’t just let all that hauteness go unnoticed right? Style this fierce needs to be unleashed for the world to see! But where ever shall you go? Hmmm… I’m thinking of a place with wildlife-inspired details, a safari-chic ambiance, and an innovative take on international cuisine. Hey, I know just the perfect place; Yebo restaurant in Phipps Plaza!
