Fashionably brought to you by Simon Malls
It feels like just yesterday we were lusting over the grandeur that is Fashion Week, and the dazzling garments that graced the runways of New York, London, Paris, and Milan. Now there’s snow on the ground and holiday shopping has taken top priority for many of us. With spring fashion, we will see some current trends ongoing, as well as some exciting new takes on old ones. That in itself seems to be a big trend, maybe as a backlash to the backlash against fast-fashion. Designers want to keep things worth buying, so perhaps keeping a trend going is the smartest thing to do. If that is the case, I heartily agree.
Some of my personal favorite hot trends for Spring 2015 are fringe, bohemian maxi gowns, and pastel outerwear. Fringe on anything and everything including bags, shoes, and apparel. Bohemian pairs nicely with fringe, so it makes perfect sense why the 70’s style maxi gowns were seen on the likes of designers Etro and Emilio Pucci. For outerwear, look towards pretty pastels for your go-to like Burberry Prorsum and Miu Miu did. If nothing else, it will match the sun and flowers that we are all longing for at the moment.
Can’t wait until spring to get in on the latest trends? Here is a bit of inspiration you can find now and wear later, too. Happy shopping!
