The Tour, Times Square, + Sip’n Swap

Hi Lovelies!

Well, I’m 3 days into my #NYCadventure! Yay!!! Let’s recap Day #2 shall we…

Recovering from a full day of 5^th Avenue fun on Day 1 (hey, that rhymes), I stopped by the Wendy Show to see the Queen of TV herself Miss Wendy Williams! I had an absolute blast! I also learned a valuable lesson… When you’re on TV, no matter how exhausted you may be, always smile for the camera. 😉 Afterall, you don’t wanna get caught looking like you need deserve a nap. (-O Later that evening I set sail with several dazzling divas for Full Figure Fashion Week’s “Curves at Sea” All White Cruise. What a wonderful experience! I really enjoyed sailing the Hudson at sunset. The views of the city were uh-mazing and all of the plus size divas onboard looked absolutely stunning! Huge hugs to Unique Sisters Designs back in Atlanta for creating my fabulous dress for the cruise. (as she sashays and twirls into the night) 😛

The Tour + Times Square

Ok, so Day 2 is officially in the books… Today, I’m doing Broadway! That’s right… I’m heading downtown to cruise Broadway atop a guided tour bus. Hey, I’m getting my full-on “tourist” experience in the Big Apple the way it should be done… with someone else behind the wheel. And thanks to Go New York Tours I was able to kick back relax and enjoy the show! 😉 Broadway is best known for its fabulous stage plays and musicals, so let’s see what hot and happening in the Big Apple. First up is Kinky Boots. I first heard about Kinky Boots during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade last November. I was in awe… Talk about haute in heels!!! Hey, if the Macy’s parade performance is anything like the Broadway show I definitely wanna see it! Another musical that’s on my must-see is Motown The Musical. What else is there to say… it’s Motown. 🙂 Hey, I ‘Heard it Through the Grapevine’ that it’s so fab you’ll be ‘Dancing in the Streets!’ 😛 But the musical that tops my bucket list is Les Miserables. ‘Les Mis’ is the world’s longest running musical and winner of hundreds of awards including over a dozen Tony Awards. I also stopped by a few stores like H&M to do a little shopping… What can I say?… I couldn’t resist the urge to splurge. 😉 Overlooking busy Times Square, H&M’s store is uh-mazing!!! A definite must-see if you’re ever in town.

Sips, Swaps, and more Shopping

So after my Times Square adventure, it was time to head over to a fabulous Sip’n Swap event surrounding Full Figured Fashion Week. Hosted by fashion blogger Iam Nikki P, KeKe “Diamond” Simpson wife of Rapper Chubb Rock, and Nedra Phillips of Atlanta based Arden’s Closet, this plus size clothing exchange featured fabulous fashions for trade by Fashionistas from near and far. Guests swapped trendy clothing, shoes, and accessories, while networking and noshing on tasty treats and sipping yummy Mimosas. Attendees also grabbed fabulous goodie bags and enjoyed several giveaways. The fashion was fierce, the ladies looked fab, and the event was sooo much fun! I had a wonderful time!
