Hey Lovelies!
Let’s face it…black and white will always be the perfect pair in fashion. These two tones are easy go-to’s with other shades, but when they’re together they seem to bring lots of drama and pizzazz. Hey, I can’t think of a more chic color combo for a photo shoot. And speaking of which…
For today’s post I decided to revisit familiar settings in downtown Marietta, Georgia. With its historic architecture and rustic railway, Marietta was the perfect backdrop to pull off a posh picture party. 😉
I just adore abstract surroundings. When you mix dainty with the rustic, you get a fabulous contrast that makes any style pop. I was aiming for a Belle at the Railroad type of vibe this go round, so hopefully it comes across ok. Note to self…make sure the camera is fully charged before leaving the house. 😐
So, here are the deets on my digs:
I snagged my fabulous Classic Art dress at Mod Cloth ($89.00). It features a gorgeous all-over stippled rose pattern in black. And, from the moment I saw it I was in full-on swoon. I absolutely love the wide collar and bodice. If you know me you know that I can’t live without my statement necklace, so the more open the neck on a dress the better. Now I must admit I was a tad worried about popping out since there’s a lot goin on up top. But I’m happy to inform that my dress (and the girls) held their own. The fit was uh-mazing. 😀
I love a haute heel…but, what woman doesn’t, right!?! I decided to pair my dress with a staple set of heels that I scored from DSW a few seasons ago. These coral colored cuties give off major sass with a 50’s era vibe. And the cute bows on the back give them just the right amount of chic without being overly dramatic.
The clutch (SALE $16.99), necklace (SALE $8.99), and earrings (SALE $4.99) are all Charming Charlie. I love a cute clutch, but I didn’t want to go with a traditional look for this accessory. Instead, I decided on a contrasting texture, and nothing is more of a contrast to flowers like brite shiny metal. Bling!
My fabulous lipcolor was courtesy of Kami Cosmetics (gifted) and my Tiffany & Co bracelet was a love gift from Hubby. Sending #hugehugs his way! 😀
So what do ya think? Did I capture Belle at the Railroad or do I need to catch the next train out of town? 😛
